So how many of you drink lemon water and have you seen a difference since drinking it? I have been reading up on warm lemon water in the morning to help with weight loss amoug other benefits. Wondering if that is something I should start.
Thanks!

Thats true..I drink it..and it helps..well I also drink it so I can drink my water, because sometimes I get so bored with water I need some kind of flavoring in it..0

I personally can't stand to drink it, too strong for me. I do think a lot of people find some success with it and enjoy it. If you like the taste of it, try it. If you don't like it, I wouldn't add it. I don't want to add anything that is going to make me miserable.0

Explain. I am far too lazy to google.0

Wait...are we talking about drinking it as a diuretic or just flavoring it with lemon because you hate the "taste" of water?0

So if the water is warm, it is a diuretic, but cool it is just flavored? I don't get it :indifferent:0 -
Talking about the benefits it brings for weight loss among other benefits. And if you do drink it what you have noticed as far as it helping you or not. Check out the link below. This is just one website that has info about lemon water and benefits.

it's a natural fruit juice paired with something you need anyway. what's the harm in trying it? if it works for you - fabulous. if not? there's not really any harm done...0

Well I am not sure about the warm water vs. the cold water for the benefits either. Just that most all the websites I have viewed all say "warm to hot" water. If someone does know why it needs to be warm I would like an explaination on that as well!0 -

"No scientific evidence suggests that drinking water with lemon is more effective for weight loss than consuming plain drinking water. It is the increased water consumption that is associated with weight loss and a decrease in body fat."

Great question. I've actually been drinking hot water with one lemon squeezed into it for about three weeks. My homeopathic doctor suggested I drink this to flush out gallbladder area that may preventing me from losing weight faster. Another benefit to the lemon water is the higher amound of electrolytes and minerals that your also getting. Hopes this helps.0

This must be in the news or something, we just had a thread about this last week, lol! Lots of great input and opinions here:

It is something required on the 17 Day Diet, which I'm doing. It's recommended to help kick-start your hydration for the day, and also helps with your digestion. 8 oz warm water, squeeze juice from half of a fresh lemon into that. I like it! BUT, I know some folks on our 17 Day Diet thread find it rather repulsive, so they add a packet of Stevia and say it helps a lot.
For my own personal taste, I find the "all natural" lemon juice in a bottle to taste completely different than squeezing juice from a fresh lemon, and I really prefer the fresh lemon squeeze.
For those interested in a soda-replacement beverage that counts as a glass of water instead.....
- Fill a pretty glass with ice (I always drink more when the glass is pretty!)
- Squeeze juice from half a LIME over the ice
- Add one packet Stevia-In-The-Raw
- Pour plan cheapo Selzer Water over all but be careful, it will fizz up a bit!
(I use "Vintage" brand selzer from Walmart - 64 cents for a 1 liter bottle)
My daughter likes it if I use a quarter of a fresh lime and a quarter of a fresh lemon - says it tastes like Sprite!
Just my own personal recipe, I find it refreshing and soda-like, but it's really just WATER! I've been an RN for nearly 30 years, spent a lot of that on night shift, and WAS a total Diet Coke addict. Drinking the above... I'm completely OFF Diet Coke and any other SODAS... and I feel better than I have in years!

I don't like lemon in my water, so if it has any benefits I'll pass.0

Unless I'm chugging it after a workout, I've always put lemon in my water. It didn't keep me from putting weight on so I can't imagine it would do much to take off either. But it tastes good and is good for your kidneys.0
