I have an aladdin brand 24 oz water bottle. I really like the aladdin brand stuff because it doesn't leak and its BPA free. I also love their travel coffee mugs. I haven't had an issue with breakage or smells.

I got a FreshSIP WaterU bottle at Walgreen's for about $7. It has a filter in the straw that is good for about 20 gallons (100 bottles) and you can get a 3-pack of replacement straws/filters for another &7. Honestly, I love this thing.
I used to go through 6-8 bottles of water EACH DAY, so about 2 cases each week, which is not only a huge waste (even though I recycle), it also is pretty expensive, even with generic water bottles.
In the month I've had this bottle, I've probably already saved $50 in water, minimum.

Oh, I forgot to say that it's a 24-oz bottle.

Another vote for the Klean Kanteen! I have two of them and they're awesome. No after smell at all, I could have a smoothie in it one day, water the next.
