Hi Everyone,

I am not exactly new...I have been using Myfitnesspal for about a month now. I started on Aug 24th. I waited a few weeks before posting anything because I wanted to make sure that I could stick with it. I am proud to say that in those 4 weeks, I have lost 10 lbs. My ultimate goal was at least 60 lbs by next summer. I am well on my way. I love using this website, it has made this journey so much easier. Knowing that I can see the calories that I am consuming makes me a lot more aware of what I put into my body. Foods that I used to love and not think twice about now make me ill to imagine eating. When my husband and i go out to dinner, I always get online and see if I can find the restaurant's nutrition info so I know beforehand what I want to order. That way I am not tempted to get something that I really don't need.

A little background info on me: I am a 32 year old Mother of two boys (2.3 years and 10 months). They definitely keep me on my toes. I am also a former Soldier. When I came off of active duty back in 2005, I weighed 130 lbs. I am 5'7" tall so I had a pretty great body. Shortly after that, I got divorced from my first husband and started to gain a little weight. Then I met my current husband....and got complacent. The weight just kept piling on, but he loved me for me and asked me to marry him. On my wedding day, I weighed almost 200 lbs. I look back at my wedding pictures & videos and I hate what I see. But at the time, the weight didn't matter. Four months after we got married, I got pregnant with my first son. I gained a lot with that pregnancy and right before he was born, I weighed 245 lbs. When he was 9 months old, I got pregnant with my second son. Again, I got up to around 245. In August when I started, I weighed 211....this morning, I weighed 201.

I am hoping to meet some new people who can encourage me to continue on this journey and reach my goal. I would love to be an inspiration to you as well. Feel free to message me or add me as a friend. I wish everyone success....we are all in this together. =)
