I was reading about how our body gets used to our routine after a while with certain exercises. .which maybe really hard at first then we hardly sweat or burn the same when we do them.
I'm getting stuck again between 164-166 pounds then going up to around 168 with monthlies then only getting back down to the same again before the next lot of bloat goes on!
I've got some new games for my Wii Fit, I'm wondering if I will boost weight loss better if I change things by exercising at different time also with new routine.... like an evening workout when my body is usually resting?
I'm mainly housebound and have physical difficulties so it takes a while to check out games that I might be able to adapt from sitting but these are my only options to exercise, other than my passive trainer pedals. I'm just wondering if anyone has ideas for changing things up a bit.. I'd like to get to 11st 7 for xmas (or under if poss) and lose another few inches off waist and tummy.
Just wondered if changing time of day or frequency.. one long session or 2-3 shorter ones would help?
Then losing the last 1-2 stone can be my new years resolution for 2012!!!
Thanks

Changing up exercise is always good for you muscles but If you want to see a change in weight you will have to change up your eating. For a flatter tummy lowering carbs and eating clean will help. Change up your foods, that will shock your body into losing again. I am in the same boat just bouncing up and down from 162 to 164 and 168 on cycle. Starting today I am trying to eat more protein and less carbs0

Hi Lori
Can you give me an example of what you would eat? eg... do you eat wholegrain bread, limit per day or week or none at all?, pasta, potatoes? etc
I was brought up on a meat, potatoes and veg diet.. so it doesn't feel like proper meal without sandwiches for lunch and potatoes, rice or pasta with dinner.. lol!.. though I have reduced the portions and throw one of each in at least once a week.. I figured if I went off them completely.. lost loads then changed back.. I'd just pile it all back on again!
Today was my high cal day as I did too lots of exercise as a new game arrived this afternoon so had pasta with dinner even though had bread at lunchtime.
Eggs count as protein too don't they.. as well as meats and fish?0 -
Your best bet is to change the routine itself vs change the time.
Like in sports, the more you do something, the more natural it gets, and the easier it is for your body to perform. You expend less energy, as you don't need as much concentration, precision, effort etc.
I try to change my routine every 1-1.5 months for that reason.0 -
ok thanks... maybe just different games will work then.
The one that arrived yesterday has Boxercise which I haven't done before so I'll try that tomorrow. The other one has the resistance bands which I have heard are good, hopefully that will arrive tomorrow or saturday so can start on that at weekend.
I was thinking of making about 30-45 mins routine on each and swapping them about like if exercise 3 times a week I'd do a different game on different day... or stick with one game for one week, then swap the next week?0
