What's your average daily calorie deficit?

What's your average daily calorie deficit? I know everyone is different, but I'm just curious what other's are maintaining. I have been around 700-800 deficit. I'm breastfeeding, not that anyone cares... but I'm not losing like I'd like but increasing my deficit will probably mess with my supply. I have lowered my deficit to 500-600cals depending on my exercise and if I eat all the cals back for the day. I'm hoping that I just need more food!

What deficit seems to be working for you and your goals?

Mine is 700..seems to be working just fine... I also have a cheat day once every 2 weeks and I dont go over 2000, but I still try to exercise before that.

250/day currently. Just burning off a little extra flub that I gained in the past couple months. The highest I've used was 1000/day for a short time, but 500/day was my norm when I was in serious weight loss mode.

well it's refreshing to hear 250 and 400 in there... I hope going from 700 to 500 does the trick!

Breastfeeding is tricky because baby uses your calories and nutrients already giving you a deficit. Im not sure but I think the recommended amount is around 1800 calories a day. You can google WIC and look for their breast feeding tips and if its available to you meet with a worker that can help you figure out how much and of what you need to eat.

And kudos to you for giving your baby the tata

Breastfeeding throws in a 200-500 cal curve ball. I have already taken that deficit into consideration. I have added 310 calories into my diet to accound for the milk, so I think I'm safe there. I haven't had a real decrease in milk, but all I can go off of is what someone says I am burning with breastfeeding.. it's a huge guesstimate since I don't REEEALLY know how many calories she drinks.

I vary. I eat my exercise calories back to get to the point I can allow my dinner. So one day it will be 45, another 250 or even 350.
A day or two a week I go over.

I lose about 1lb/week. I can't say that when I was eating 400-500 less I lost any more, if anything I struggled.

it's about what works for your body.
