What do you think about it?

I myself, have them. I gained weight rapidly in highschool reaching about 220lbs at my max. Now that i weigh 145lbs, im able to pull off two peice swim suites!!! YAY!! BUT i still have the stretch marks, faded, but still there. Lame. I still wear 2 peice swim suites because i believe i have earned the right to do so :o) Its a treat to myself!

I went to a water park a few weeks ago and wore my two peice figuring i couldnt be the only one. But yeah i kinda was lol... all the bigger girls (like not even really big but girls like my size) wer wearing full coverage suits and shorts mainly.

Am i crazy?

You're not crazy -- if you feel good in it, wear it. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, or does. You did earn it, after all. And stretch marks are not inherently evil. They're just a part of life for most of us. :flowerforyou:

    ^^^ This x 10!! ^^^

I know how hard you have been working and you look FABULOUS!!! Im really proud of you!
  • I think you're just fine in a 2 piece. It's all the women that have NO BUSINESS AT ALL (read: bigger than I ever was, and I wouldn't have been caught dead in a 2 piece) that scare me. I live in FL, and I see women at the beach all the time that have no business in skimpy little suits, but they still do it. It's bad to a point that my 3 year old says out loud what I only think in my head! O_o

I'm sure you look awesome. I, on the other hand, know that I should not wear a 2 piece. Not now, not ever. I've issued five babies, and no amount of weight loss and exercise is going to put my stomach back together again.

I wore my bikini on our beach vacation to the pool and the beach. Nobody looked at me odd. I have stretchmarks on my tummy from 2 babies. I felt good, so I didn't care what anyone thought.

Thank you :o) Yeah i know what you mean by the ppl who shouldnt be wearing skimpy stuff!.I mean its not fun to look at by any means, but at the same time i respect and kinda envy the confidence they have to such a thing!! I have very mixed feeling about it LOL
Babies will do that! Im hoping the pre stretch i put my tummy through will make it a lil more lax on the re-stretching later... probably not but i can hope :o) Thanks for your kind words hun

I have a friend who has three children who got her self in KILLER bikini shape. It can be done.

And as an aside, just because you wouldn't have ever felt comfortable in a two-piece doesn't mean other women that DO feel comfortable shouldn't do it.

Wear whatever makes YOU happy. People should wear bikinis if they want to even if they're 300lbs. There is NEVER a reason to feel ashamed of your body, especially not if it's just a few stretch marks you're worried about.

I wear my two piece and faded stretch marks. Life is short can't streess over other people talking all the time. There's always someone somewhere saying something good or bad. LOL enjoy

I'm not talking about normal 2 piece suits here...I'm talking skimpy, barely covering the private places that should only be revealed in a bedroom, hair popping out of places it shouldn't be making a three year old say, "uhhhh... that's gross." That's pretty bad... lol

I cannot WAIT to be able to wear a 2 piece again! I've had 4 kids, I've been stretched from here to eternity and where as they are faded they are still there. My thoughts are as long as I don't look like a tub of cottage cheese, I'm not spilling out over the sides (top and bottoms) and I can fit in the suit with room to spare, by golly I'm gonna soooooooo rock that 2 piece! :D

    l say you're fine! Congrats!!!

People need to get past the notion that only perfect bodies can be displayed. Seriously. It's the pool!
