CLA is only effective in a certain combination (there are two variations) and the bottom line from that is it may help you lose fat at about 1.5lbs over 6 months. it's not a magic pill by any means and you'll get faster and more substantial results from changing lifestyle habits.

The Omega 3's from Fish oil fall into the most often missing essential fats category and do help make the fat cell membranes more soluable in releasing fat storage.

Liquid forms are best (if you don't mind the taste), but for capsules, make sure they contain at least 1000mg of fish oil with 300 -600 mg total EPA + DHA (The primary element in Fish Oil). As well, make sure it comes from Oily fish like Salmon, Sardine, Anchovy or Mackeral, or from Algae sources like Kelp and Crill.

Cod Liver Oil is NOT the same so don't waste your time on that.

That being said, it's recommended to have about 4g total of Omega 3 in your diet, so it's generally ideal to mix it up from multiple sources (so that you['re not taking 10 Fish oil Pills a day).

You won't get overnight results, but studies done at the University of Western Ontario showed a metabolic increase of about 400 calories/day.

I shared some articles previously about the benefits of Omega 3's from Fish Oil in your diet:

and i beleive the study done on Tonalin CLA was dosed at 6g per day, which can get kinda pricy since you need to stay on it for a while for the effects to be seen

I've actually been on fish oil bc it helps keep blood pressure down and I've just started taking CLA... I've researched and found that CLA is good for the stomach fat but taking the fish oil helps regulate any affects of taking CLA in regards to insulin resistance. google them together and you'll find a lot of info : ) Hope that helps
