Just wondering what kinds of vitamins or supplements people take. The doctor told me a year ago when I started with my new weight loss lifestyle, that I need: multi-vitamin and calcium. I was talking to a girl in the doctors office yesterday and she is taking lots of vitamins. Can you over-do vitamins?

Well your going to laugh but my nutritionist told me to take children's vitamins! I think because they are easier to digest, Soooo I take the gummy ones haha but I also take calcium pills which I've been told is very important for young adults, I hope you feel better.

I really like the Trader Joe's Chewable Adult Vitamins. I remember to take those almost daily (mostly because I like the way they taste). They are vegetarian (so I am!) and they don't upset my stomach. I also take Trader Joe's plant based Vitamin D / Magnesium daily. Those are big and gross, but they don't upset my stomach.

I get the CVS brand. Sometimes they have great 2 for 1 sales.

Right now I'm taking a prenatal and a calcium. But for daily vitamins they have a Women's daily vitamin that is similar to One A Day but much less expensive. You can get them in a huge 300 tablet bottle and save the most money.

For calcium I am taking the CVS brand of the one that is similar to Caltrate.

I also got one of those little daily vitamin holders that holds 7 days of vitamins. Every week I fill it and put it on my kitchen table where I eat breakfast. It helps me to remember to take it. I take it in the morning after I eat. If I take them on an empty stomach it makes me nauseated.
  • Man wish CVS was up here in Northern Michigan. Sounds like they have some great deals! Walmart is my shop of choice - they are cheapest in the area - more bang for my buck. I take the generic walmart offers of women's one a day. Plus I take the walmart generic for calcium supplement as well.

Never thought to take vitamin c - might have to get myself some now.

Here's what I do... Calcium, as I'm middle aged, and it promotes weight loss and increased bone densities, also increases your metyabolism. Vit D-1000iu for the absorption of the Calcium. I'm on Iron for Anemia, I also take a Multi Vit. Low energy days I have Ginseng, I take a Flax Oil pill or Fish oil pill for the Omega 3s, as I hate fish. Also 1/2 before and after I weight lift, I take a Creatinine. On Cardio sessions, I use my loud funky music (to get me through!). And within the hour after a workout of all varieties, I have a Soy Protein shake. Sound nuts, but I have done extensive"research" on all of it. Any questions, feel free to ask!:flowerforyou:
