My favourite is a baked apple stuffed with mixed dried fruit and served with some sweetened quark or creme fraiche :happy:0

I loved baked apples! You know the kind where you just core them and put some stuff in the middle and then bake them. Here's an alternative version that replaces the brown sugar with a little juice: http://www.floras-hideout.com/recipes/recipes.php?page=recipes&data=b/Baked_Apple_Low-fat plus you can 'bake' a single serving in the microwave!0

Apples with some all-natural peanut butter (just make sure you're mindful of the serving size.) Or even apples with some nice cheese. If you're in the cooking mood, make some homemade applesauce? I love fall!!0

Sliced apples with sugar free jello sprinkled on them.
The dry powder !!! Lots of flavors and no calories !!!0 -
sliced apples, slowly cooked over a skillet with a some water and brown sugar, cook till its very well done and soft, then while still hot, scoop about a 2 cups of it and top it off with a cup of vanilla icecream, but for just a little added sponk, add some caramel on top. Pure goodness to your taste buds.
Oh wait, you wanted something healthy? lol. no idea, I dislike apples very much. jijijijiji0 -
For me living in the desert I'm used to everything DRY ... *laughs* just kidding...
But since moving here I've gotten a food dehydrator (was about 15£ at the store) So I just slice and core apples then throw them on the racks and dehydrate them till they're chewy.
You get all the fiber, all the flavor, but you don't have to spend all the time chewing!!
And for changes you can sprinkle fresh shaved cinnamon on them or nutmeg or even allspice.
I also like applesauce.
Cut up apples (using 3 or 4 kinds is best. Last time I used Fuji 80%, Gala 5%, and Pink Lady 15%) core the apples (I peeled mine for ease later pureeing since I do it by hand, but you don't have to if you use a machine. Toss them into a big pot. Fill with 3 cups water or 1/3 of the way up the apples you're using. I added a piece of Ceylon Cinnamon bark crumbled up, and a bottle of hard cider jack last time. But both those are optional. Simmer at a low boil covered for a couple of hours till the apples are very soft.
Remove, drain water, reserving 1/4 to 1/2 a cup if you need to 'loosen' your puree. But I didn't.
I put my apples through a 'food mill' which is a big round stainless sieve with a handle that you turn (by hand) and crank the food through a screen that mushes everything. It separates out the skins, seeds/ the cinnamon bark, anything left 'above' you discard (after 30 mins grindin!! yeah log that exercise, biceps *flex*) what you have below, applesauce.
You'll never buy it again it tastes so good. ;D
Good luck Steph!0
