Hi, I'm a vegan living in the UK, been yo-yo dieting since I was 9 years old... Got down to 10 1/2 stone (147lbs down from 231lbs at my heaviest) which was my ideal weight a few years ago, but, thanks to the "Free From" aisles in the supermarkets here and my absolute love of cooking and eating I've crept back up to 194lbs. I miss the energy I had when I was slimmer and I'm getting tired of kids in primary schools (I'm a trainee teacher in my final year) asking if I have "a baby in my tummy"... I also go to Africa a lot doing charity work with orphans and young kids and I'd love to be able to run around playing football with them without feeling like my lungs are going to pack in.

I think my main problems are portion sizes and I tend to "graze" - picking at little bits throughout the day. Any motivation to stay away from vegan snacks is greatly appreciated!!

Hi there! While I can't help you directly I wonder if you know about a website/TV called VeggieVision. Run by a very enthusiastic vegan called Karin, there might be some helpful advice on there. Donna
