I have been on MFP for 2 months and am really pleased with my 12lb loss. I have tried many times to lose weight and usually quit after 5 lbs or so. I have been trying to work out what the difference is this time. I saw a slimming tip that said " imaging you are walking up 100 steps and after some time you felt tired and took a step backwards, would you then think I have blown this now so I might as well give up" it really made me think.....

So what I am looking for is what keeps everyone else motivated, if we all share our best tips it will be really useful to look at in our hour of need!

Thanks for all your support.

  • I have a huge board with all everything in my life that inspires me. These include fitness quotes and pictures. I also include hobbies I have and things I would like to do in the future. Looking at it makes me realize how lucky I am to just be alive. I consider being healthy another step to my success, but I think it will also magnify my happiness in other aspects in my life. Looking at the board helps whenever I'm feeling really out of it or like I can't do it. I guess it's working so far!

My BF motivates me =] He loves to go to the gym and we go together.. and everyday he says "babe, I'm ready to hit the gym" lol, so we hit the gym together =] IDK but its just so helpful for someone else to be like ok lets go! its that time of day! lol.
  • I recently found new motivation. I told my husband that my new goal weight is 125-130...he looked at me like I was crazy. We've been together for 11 years and he has never seen me weigh anything less than 150 pounds. He told me that it would be weird and he can't even picture what I would look like if I weighed 125 pounds. It's going to take awhile to get there, but I am determined. I've been overweight my entire life and haven't weighed in the 120's since I was in elementary school! I am interested in what I will look like too!
