I've heard of greek yogurt but never had it. I eat so called regular yogurt all the time and was wondering what the difference is. What are the nutrition facts on the stuff?

Greek yogurt has a lot more protein per ounce. If you get the non-fat plain it has fewer calories. It's SO good!!!! Thick and creamy! Mix the plain with some cinnamon! YUMMMY!!!

I bought some at Walmart today it was $1.46 for one container (the organic kind). but is says it has 120 calories 0 fat 0 cholesterol 16 g protein and 13g total carbs. But $1.46!! I got 3 Yoplait for that. But I guess you can't put a price on good health.

it's a lot thicker than most "normal" yogurts. I buy plain fat free and add some almonds w/cinnamon and a little brown sugar i run the almonds through my coffee grinder first. yummy.

it got me through dental/sinus surgery when I couldn't chew

Fage Yogurt is a greek style yogurt and IS TOTALLY AWESOME...lower sugar than most yogurts.....that is where some of the popular yogurts really kill you...with the sugar

an awesome snack and even a mean...take one of the Fage single serving containers, dump it in a bowl and add one scoop of chocolate MRM brand whey prtein powder....LOW carbs, low sugar and good protein...AWESOME

I haven't checked this factoid, but I just read somewhere that Greek yogurt is made by draining off some of the water in regular yogurt, so it's more concentrated. I used to make yogurt cheese at home by putting regular yogurt into a colander lined with cheese cloth, and putting that over a bowl in the fridge so the water drains out till it's the desired consistency--even like ricotta. It's yummy & you can spread it on crackers or whatever.

I love Chobani. It's a little less expensive than Fage. I get it in 3-packs for $4.29 from a grocery delivery service. I have at least one cup a day! 100 calories with 18 grams of protein!

But for those of you shopping at a real store and looking to save a little $$, find out how many units are in a case and buy that number each time. Most stores will give you a case discount if you ask for it! I know that Whole Foods does. If you're unsure, call up the store before you go!

I love FAGE 0% yogurt. I love it with a little honey, fruit, or granola. It's soooo very yummy. It's good in recipes, too...instead of sour cream.

I agree with the other posters here, it is DELICIOUS and good for you. It is thicker than regular yogurt, with higher protein per oz (mainly because the excess liquid is strained out as part of the production process).

The plain variety has almost a cream cheese consistency. If you don't like plain, then stir in a tablespoon of honey, it makes a world of difference. Honey makes everything better!

I love greek yogurt!!! I have found a cheaper way to make it though. Just buy a plain, non-fat yogurt (Dannon or Meijer brand are my favorites). Dump the carton into a strainer that is lined w/ 2 coffee filters over a bowl (to catch the liquid). Put in fridge for a few hours and let the liquid strain. Dump the strainged yogurt back into the carton and there you have it!! Much thicker, creamier yogurt.

For Christmas, my mother in law got me a yogurt maker. So I make my own Greek yogurt using skim milk and one carton of Fage. It makes seven 6oz servings that way. Yummy!

Oh, and for those asking, it is lower in cals and higher in protein than regular yogurt.
