Uhm... I'm thinking of trying Burger King's veggie burger tomorrow. I have the calories for it, and I've just never thought about it before... Has anyone tried this before? What was your take on it...?????

I had it, and I thought it was awful! LOL I think it's just boca, but they either a)microwave it- gross soggy soy or they grill it on the same as the meat... Soooo- not really my favorite. Then again, I LOVE VEGGIE BURGERS (even boca) I just prefer making them at home. I also don't like their ultra white flour buns or the cornstarch ketchup... I say, even with teh calories, ask for the protein Veggie burger that way the bun is omitted, you get extra veggies and it comes in lettuce! :)

Thanks everyone. I'm not vegetarian, but I've been switching out a lot of beef and pork for other protein and taking in more veggies. Or at least trying to! Does anyone else have any opinions?

I don't know if it has changed, but I used to like them years ago (before I stopped liking Burger Kind/Hungry Jacks at all). But I always had them with bacon added :)

You are exactly right sir, it is Morningstar Farms and it is microwaved.

When I was working there I'd always get just the patty plain with no bun and eat it with knife and fork. It tastes pretty good, but I only had it when I was really too lazy to pack a better lunch.

Actually just tried it wednesday night.
    FAIL.
I love veggie burgers, but this was chewy, dried out, and friggin gross. If you're just looking for a better protein then the beef patties, give the tendergrill chicken sandwich a try. 9 out of 10 times, it was pretty darn good to me, and it's only a tad higher than the veggie burger they offer. I get mine no mayo and it's tasty. Just be mindful to not order the tendercrisp, that thing is worse then a whopper calorie wise.

WOW. I haven't been to fast food too much these past months but I totes DID NOT know that... I think I'll give it a try! the tendergrill I mean. Only tried a veggie burger once and your description of it might have just saved me $5. :D

Seriously, there are way nicer tasting ways to eat that many calories.

It's fast food, after all, not nice food.

Always check the websites for nutritional info. These days, many are switching to a format that makes it easy to see how much of a difference it would make if you took the mayo off, or added cheese, ect. Here's the one for burger king.

I've had good experiences with the veggie burger at BK, but I prefer to get a Whopper Jr. with no mayo and no cheese.
