In the last month I've been lucky if I've lost 5 lbs. I know I'm still losing but I'm used to losing between 8 and 12 lbs a month. I'm not real sure what I'm doing wrong. I need any and all advice to get me over this hump. I still have 48 lbs to lose by March and I would REALLY like to meet that goal.

I see that you have hypothyroidism, I also have it. I was diagnosed 18 years ago with it. Have you find that one thing work better than another?

Maybe zigzag your calories a bit...try a different exercise perhaps. I'm doing jillian michaels 30 day shred...have u done it yet? Ramp up the weight training; burns more cals in the long run. You'll get over the hump!

I know that sometimes you need to change what you're doing. Do you eat enough? Are you doing the same exercises most days? It might just be you need a change. There's an old saying in Weight Watchers: when you hit a plateau, eat a cheeseburger. I've found it to be true on occasion, that I needed more protein. (I'm not on WW and have no affiliation with them). Your body might be in conservation mode -- not wanting to let go of the weight "thinking" that it needs to hold on to it. In short, I would think of making a change to your routine, because whatever you're doing is beneficial, but you need a boost to break the plateau. Great job on the weight loss so far!

On last thing, I've also heard just getting more sleep can help you lose.

I don't know if I'm messing myself up but I change my routine every week. If I'm not able to lose more than a pound in one week then I change what I'm doing. I was losing a lot when I was using the elliptical but I had to stop using it bc my have lower back damage and the elliptical was making it worse. So idk what to do that works as well as that did.

it gets harder the more weight you lose. Start a new exercise program challenge your body! I ahve been zig zagging calories 1200 one day 1500 one day ect. I was stuck for a while but my new exercise program has kiscked my butt into gear totally different than what I was previously doing. dont get discourage 5 pounds in a month is good!!!!

if you lose to fast it is more likely u will gain it back also. losinf slowely means you are making a lifestyle change not just crash diet that you will not stay on
