Iv just completed D1 L1 of 30DS - im really proud of myself as when i first began my weighloss journey i struggled, thought i was dying and couldnt do a single push up or sit up, but today, 20lbs lighter iv done it all and pushed my way thru everything til the end and even tho the sit ups and push ups were a struggle... I DID THEM!!!! woohooooo!!!
Anyhow.. bragging over! I just wanted to know how it actually works - do i do L1 for 30days then L2 for 30days etc or do i do 10days of L1, 10days of L2 etc? im a little confused on when to up my game or when the recommended level up is? Also, on the MFP excersise log, what do i put the 30DS down as? iv looked on both strenght and cardio and theres nothing even tho iv done both!

i put it down as circuit traing, general in cardio. the plan is 10 days level 1, 10 days level 2 and 10 days level 3, but to be honest ive seen loads of success stories on here when people dont follow it as rigidly so do whats best for you. well done!! in on level 1 day 8, just finished my workout and its still a killer!!!0

let me first say YAY....WTG
I also just finished Day 10 so Level 1 is complete. The way I am doing it (and others I know) I am doing L1 for 10 days, L2 for 10 days, then L3 for 10 Days. I have a lot to lose so after then end of my 30days I will either start it again but maybe twice a week or find something new by Jillian to do.
As for logging it, use circuit training general. It will not show the same calories burned as other people because it calculates based on your info.
Congrats again and Good Luck  :glasses:0 -
I think the DVD says to start with level 1 and then progress to level 2, then 3, when you feel ready to do so. Most people do ten days per level I think, but do whatever works for you!
I finished day 10 of level 1 yesterday so I'll be starting level 2 tonight - I'm scared!0 -
thanks everyone! and thanks for the info too. Just logged it and i thought i would of burned more calories than that!! it says iv burned 244. But then again im not as heavy as i was before so i suppose its going off the weight im at too isnt it? Im really gonna stick at this no matter how hard i find it! Have any of you noticed a difference yet? i took my measurements today too - although i havent got a tape measure so i ended up using my dressing gown cord and then putting that against a ruler haha!! probably not accurate but there about lol!0

Yeah I thought I would burn more than I did. If there is one thing I am starting to realize...it's not all about the lbs you loose with Jillian. Look through the success stories and you will see so many people lost TONS of inches but not as much in lbs. For me after day 10 I feel better all around (other than my knees). I have more energy, I can actually feel some muscle in my arms, and just feel great.
LOL on measuring...I didn't have ameasuring tape long enough (of the one you normally would use) so my hubby took some string and then we used a regular construction type medal measuring tape Hey it got the info I needed lol. I told myself no matter what the scale was saying I would do the full 30 days no matter what. So that is what I am doing, then at the end I will measure and see what it did for me before I decide what to do next. So keep it up0 -
i went my weigh in last night at my local slimming club and although i had lost 2lbs, i felt much slimmer, my gut isnt sticking out so much and my clothes feel loser, honestly thought id lost more! But my consultant said thats its possible to lose inches without seeing a change on the scales - something which i just dont understand but hey, so long as i can see a difference happening i aint fussed what the scales say! Thats the thing really, i dont know what i want to be weight wise, i just know what i want to be size wise in clothes!0
