Does this seem accurate for 2 California rolls?

Generic - California Roll - Sushi, 2 roll (8 pcs each) Cals510 Carbs76 Fat14 Protein18 Fiber12 Sodium0

The sodium can't be zero... the fake crab must have some. Thoughts? ::off to research on google:: but I'd still like some real life experience feedback! TIA!

there's definitely sodium in it & definitely a lot of sodium.......
whoever logged that into the system must not have cared to track sodium, so simply left it out.

That all sounds right except for the sodium... if it's imitation crab then it definitely has sodium! The seaweed & rice have sodium as well. I had a california roll from HEB yesterday and for the whole roll (9 pieces) it had 540 mg sodium.

definitely lots of sodium (unfortunately). I don't know exact counts, but I'll second what pkiesch said. Someone didn't care about/didn't have access to sodium info.

If only sushi didn't have sodium in it...I'd eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner!

Agree with everything but the sodium. The mixture used to bind the rice has a ton of salt/sugar in it.

http://www.sushifaq.com/sushi-calories.htm doesn't have sodium info either. Maybe I'll just down 3 or 4 glasses of water with lunch and call it a wash. Thanks guys!

It depends on the size of the roll. Some places make them larger, some are smaller.

the point of reference I have is the Tsunami Sushi Deli California Rolls which are about 1 1/4" in diameter each and come in a service size of 12 pieces.

From the menu, the Nutritional content is:

    Cals - 365; Fat 5g, Sodium 1182mg; Carb 63g, Protein 8g.

There is definitely sodium that's missing in the generic listing as it's going to be a component in the sushi rice vinegar used to make the sticky rice, some naturally in the rice itself, and in the crab for sure.

Thank you! I am pretty sure the place I go only has 8pcs. I found an entry that is comparable to the stats you listed. Thanks so much for taking the time to share!

Bump! Saving this for later. I love sushi and the stats I used previously from the database were probably off. :)

The seasoning they put in the rice usually has sodium in it, plus seaweed has been growing in salt water so it's going to have some.

you can make it at home, california roll is SUPER easy to make!!!! when you add the salt and sugar to the rice you can modify it to your liking of levels and if you buy steamed crab it will be better, plus there iwll be salt in the crab mixture with mayo and salt. but making it is really easy.....SUPER easy..you can even help roll it if you have like a bamboo style place mat or even a regular one!!

Tried this about 5 years ago - HUGE MESS! I had sticky rice from here until Tuesday! I wish I were more efficient at this. I love sushi rolls. I may need to try it again. I would LOVE to be able to customize my rolls. mmm I may have just found myself a project for this weekend!
