Last night I was in one of those states where I wanted to eat everything I have in the kitchen and then some, I managed to control myself but still made a pretty good dent. This morning I wake up and realize the reason... a friendly visitor came :P I have caught myself in line at the grocery store before, looked down at my purchases and realized that I am buying chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and painkillers. Hahaha, not at all obvious and I don't even realize I am doing it. I have been pretty good about taking my vitamins lately to prevent cravings from any deficiencies but it seems like my body takes control of me instead of the other way around at this time... Any good stories you have to share? Any advice?

I totally understand you! it's been a weird week for me too... normally I'm pretty good with staying within my diet guidelines and eating clean but this week...

on Monday I was craving a massive bagel stuffedd with anything and everything.. im talking about a massive carb loaded breakfast so I had it instead of my normal eggs or oatmeal.. just had to fit it into my calories
on Tuesday I ate back ALL of my exercise calories
on Wednesday I was craving a big soft chewy fudgy chocolate chip cookie so I had one and fit into my diary
last night I just wanted to get out so I went to two different happy hours and just drank till my hearts desire.

I didn't understand until I realized this week was my TOM.. its friday and I have NO cravings. i've barely touched my breakfast and i'm still full from the rest of the week haha I guess its back to my normal eating tomorrow :-)

Reading this, I'm hoping that is my problem. I am in the middle of switching birth control methods and have had several days where I can't stop eating... thing is, I'm not have a TOM - I'm having a Time of Year... spotting, sometimes heavy and sometimes light, non-stop. Would that have the same effect as a TOM? I'm hoping that's a possible explanation for me having those kinds of days where I can't stop eating.
  • Yep...I was going through that last weekend. There is nothing I can do to prevent me wanting chocolate around that time of the month! I just indulged (I only went over about 100 calories, not too much!) and let it go - if it only happens once a month, I can live with that!
