Changing my goals

I have worked really hard on MFP since November. I have lost 76 pounds, 10 dress sizes and 43 inches. However, I think I am stuck. For the past month or so, I have only dropped a couple of pounds.
So, I have read up on the topic, I have changed my goals. I have gone from 1200 calories a day to 1600 a day. I have gone from trying to lose 2 pounds a week to just 1 pound a week. I work out at least 5 times a week for about 30 minutes doing something a little different every day!!
Has anyone else tried this? Does this sound like a good idea??
anybody??

I hit a plateau in August, so I did a little reading and decided to increase my calories from 1300 to 1500.. On the weekends I go over (to about 2000) to throw my metabolism into shock and so far it's working. I've dropped 3.5lbs the last two weeks!0
