Are the PM's being mod watched too??

Evidently, some PMs get lost at random. PM's with profanity to non-friends are silently dropped. Friend requests with profanity as also silently dropped.
... And you know this.... how? :laugh:
Had some suspicions, and did some trial and error. most people who use the PM feature will have experienced the mystery lost PM issue. Look in your "Sent Messages". Some of them won't have the "read" status checked. Then verify by asking the user directly, "did you get my message"....
Also, we can easily test the friend request feature.. you can send me a friend request with profanity in it, and I'll never see it. Or vice versa.0 -

If the mods are watching PMs then they clearly have too much time on their hands. Also, I'd be very suprised if the PM system were that easily manipulated to allow for profane messages to not be sent. That's some high-up-techie-crap. In my experience, most forums just don't have those options. I'm more willing to bet that during high-traffic times, some PMs are just lost. Happens all the time at other forms I'm on.0

But you are friends. Between friends the non-delivered PM's happen just at random. If you send profanity to a non-friend it won't be received.
So it's really 2 different issues. The profanity thing is just an undocumented "feature".
The randomly lost PM's and FR's is more of a bug.0 -
So without them having to actually talk to me or touch me, the mods still violated me!?!

I never get PM's. I'm going to go ahead and tell myself it's because the mods are intercepting them. :laugh: ......... :sad:0

If they are holding them hostage that is fine....but they need to share is in the sexual explicit love ......STOP BEING GREEDY AND SEND MY VIOLATION PMs!
Go to Mail -> Sent Messages. Do they have a green checkmark under the "READ" column? ....0 -

Seriously? Well no wonder why nobody ever accepts my friend requests... I ALWAYS start them off with, "Hey sexy, how the *kitten* you doin' on this beautiful day!!!"

Pretty soon this site is going to be called MyComplaintFriend. Grow up already. We come here for like-minded people who live similar to ourselves and have a sense of humor. If we wanted to cater to stupidity and surround ourselves with FML type of people.. ummm... we'd just STAY ON FB!!!!

What we need to do... is make a list of all the mod profiles, every time we get a "please follow the rules you've been naughty" message and just send them like 200 msgs saying, "hi!" "love you" "mods rock" or any other random thing you can think of off the top of your head, all nice things.. until we've equally annoyed the hell out of them as they do us

Very Interesting. I was very busy and using my phone app for several weeks. I wondered why the posts got so slow and less fun all of a sudden. Several of my friends are gone. Were they doing a crack down recently on everything fun?0

So my days of getting unsolicited, profane PMs from total random strangers are over? Geez, I don't know what I'll do!!0 -
I mod on another forum and on there PMs are totally invisible to everyone except the sender and recipient UNLESS certain words are included in the PM (administrator can set these words). If these words are used then the PM is flagged and only one person can see them, the main site owner, who will then deal with the situation as needed.0

In the rare case that a particular PM is brought to our attention for containing unwanted content (hate speech, sexual come-ons, etc) then the site admins (Mike and myself) will investigate the reported violation.
Setting the record straight,
