i am a 29 yr old mother of 2. I need all the motivation and support i can get when it comes to loosing weight. i started using this site via android last year when i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes because i was put on a 2,200 calorie diet. i worked out well for me. i stopped after i had my child because i got out of habit of keeping track of everything i ate. because i have gained 20 lbs within a years time i have decided to start using this calorie counter again. but my main goal is to loose 100lbs i have no set time because i know it takes time. i have a hectic daily life with little exercise and it's really hard for me to keep up with things sometimes. i work full time and go to school full time. i do not have a set schedule because one day i can be scheduled for work at 5:30 and my day won't end til 10:30 because of school. I would like support and suggestions and on how i can get this weight off me and be healthy for me and my kids? Because diabetes is hereditary in my family getting my weight under control is my biggest hurdle that i must accomplish. Help!!!!!!!!!

I'm exactly the same as you but 20 years in the future. My kids are grown and I'm not only still overweight but on insulin. All this could have been avoided if I had eaten no more than probably 1600 calories a day and exercised for 30 lousy minutes a day. I have blind spots in my right eye from the diabetes. I have high cholesterol. If I keep up this particular pace, I will lose my quality of life real soon, perhaps even die in ten or so years. Diabetes is a silent killer and progresses very quickly when you are overweight. On top of that, my kids do not have a single picture of me and them when they were babies because I was ashamed of how I looked. Don't be me. You have the time, make good use of it.0

you can do this girl!! take a few extra minutes when you get home from school to plan your meals for the next day, and maybe add walking during a break at work or school? Every little tiny improvement in your habits will help the weight come off. start small, and before you know it, you'll be at your goal and healthy! good luck!!0

That is a busy schedule. I would suggust a weekly schedule if you don't have advanced notice of work and school times or things change often. Pick one day a week to make a schedule for the week ahead and slot at least 3 sessions of 30 minutes of exercise time within that week and plan your meals. I find this helps drastically for me with meals, I know at the beginning of the week what each meal will be so I don't end up at a fast food place at the last minute cause I didn't plan well. (saves time at the grocery store too!)0
