New and ready to be fit

Hey everyone, I justed wanted to make a small post to introduce myself and to hopefully make new friends on MFP. I am a retired AF Vet and mother of three. When I left the Air Force, I quickly gained 20 pounds and have been unable to get them off. I had my 3rd pregnancy at that time as well.
One thing I miss about being in the military is being and feeling strong and fit. I've decided not to worry as much about the number on the scale, but to instead focus on getting my body back into shape. I've worked out steadily for two weeks and am loving how strong and energetic I feel. Before, I would just go to aerobics 2-3 times a week, but that is not enough. I realize that now. I now incorporate weightlifting into my weekly plan and try to work out 5 days a week.
So far, I like this site and am looking forward to meeting some new people with similar goals.
