Have you watched this documentary. It is available on the netflix streaming and is so interesting. I love meat, dairy, eggs, etc. but after watching this I'm thinking maybe we really should live on plant based whole foods diets. Do any of you live on this type of diet? If so how do you feel and what is an example of a day of eating for you??

  • Someone reviewed it. It's mostly misrepresented or debunked science. Link to the review here: http://rawfoodsos.com/2011/09/22/forks-over-knives-is-the-science-legit-a-review-and-critique/

I watched, as did my PhD biologist husband. We have been lowfat vegan since. I feel great, am satisfied and don't have cravings, and am losing weight at a healthy rate. I've decided this is how I want to live. Watch the sister documentary PLANEAT and it will make your resolve even stronger.

I watched it on my ipad on the flight home last week and while I am not ready mentally to completely go plant based I will continue to make changes in small steps. On September 1st I decided to no longer eat meat. I think at that point I did it more to have a focal point than to embrace a new life style. In 26 days I have now dropped 12 pounds. I have lowered my dairy intake but still have been eating some dairy and I have eaten some fish.

I see this working for me. My weight loss had stalled and I was begining to see about 1/3 of my 70 pound weight loss return. I feel better and that is what this is all about.
