Can someone recommend a HRM that is easy to use and accurate? I am doing the 30DS and would like to more accurately track my calories burned.

Thank you!!

Hey there! I bought one that was returned. It sucked. So I searched the forums here and read a lot of good things about the polar FT4. I LOVE it. It was easy to set up, the band is comfy and it stays in place. The HR was accurate. My sister is a paramedic and I had her check my pulse for me. It reads the electricity of your body rather than your pulse. It's very accurate.
  • I have the PolarF6 and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!! Chest strap is included. Try ebay!

You could take it manually in 15-second intervals then average it and enter it for free here:

That's how I track calories burned. A friend said it was accurate to within 15 calories of her HRM.

Polar FT7. Second from the top avail. Hubby has the top one the Polar FT80. Great for cals, av heart rate, max rate, can down load the watch info with a 'Flowlink' add on. Comes free with the FT80. My Dr thinks its a great idea as I have high blood pressure and have been able to write down acurately what my heart is doing during exercise. It's better info than what the walking machine or exercise bike info says also. Cheers. Best prices I found were from Polar website direct as they even beat eBay prices.
  • my husband and me got the Polar FT40 and love it.

I have a Sportline 1025 Duo. It comes with a chest strap and seems pretty accurate to me. I compare it to my bodymedia armband.
