Insanity to Jillian - concern...

I have just over two weeks left of Beachbody's Insanity and I've seen a lot of improvement in my cardio endurance and strength. A friend and I are planning on starting Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 next month, but I'm a little concerned that it won't be as much of a challenge - meaning my body will lose some of the endurance that I've gained. Anyone gone from Insanity to Ripped in 30?
*I am NOT saying that Jillian's programs aren't good or that beachbody's better or anything - Insanity is just one of the harder workouts that I've found and I'd hate to take a step back.
Thanks for any advice!

I finished Insanity and so far I have found nothing that is as difficult and honestly most are too easy. I found Jillian easy in the past but I don't have any of her dvds right now to compare. I did Bob Harpers Inside Out after finishing Insanity and they made me crazy b/c they were so easy. I also tried Chalean Extreme and found the same. I am going to try p90x instead.0

if you want a challenge from Jillian, I suggest SHRED IT WITH WEIGHTS - if that's not challenging enough, do that and 30 day shred back to back0

Question for you ladies who know more about these work outs than I do: I just finished 30 DS. Now I am contemplating a harder challenge (I also started c25k last week). Which would you recommend: Insanity or P90X? What are the differences? Benefits? Etc.? Thanks for any input.0

You go girl. Abs are hot. Nothing sexier than a woman out at night sporting some abs. Ab ripper x is my fav. I just have about 1.3% BF to go. I've been at it for over 3 months. I foresee abs in 30 days. Good luck in your journey. Eat clean and sweat.
You look hot in your pics. Go for hottie.

It's funny that I saw this post as I was concerned about the same thing at first. I have one week left of Insanity and I have four Jilian DVDs that I want to complete after I'm done. Insanity is definitely the hardest workout I've ever done and I also see the improvement in my endurance and strength and would not want to take a step back either. But I have a number of MFP pals doing the JM workouts and you can definitely make her workouts more challenging by increasing the weights or using hand and ankle weights. I don't think it will ever be as insane as insanity but if you challenge yourself I don't think it would be a step back. Also you could still do a hybrid and incorporate some of the insanity workouts for more cardio as the JM workouts are normally very short.0

I would suggest P90X. It's a kick *ss workout and you'll be working all the different muscle groups.0

Insanity is a LOT of cardio...almost all cardio actually. But a lot of the moves increase strength as well by using your bodyweight (pushups, tricep dips, etc). P90X does a lot more with weights (and the pull up bar), but there is some cardio and yoga as well. Insanity was a much better fit for me because I need a lot of cardio endurance, but a lot of people enjoy P90X, too.0

Depends on your goals. Insanity is a cardio based program whereas P90X is more for strength, toning, muscle building.0 -

Okay so I don't have as good of endurance as you, but I will tell you one thing going from beach body's workouts you will find Jillian Michael'ss extremely boring, her talking is annoying alone, but than you end up knowing every word she says through the workout, so the workout seems like it goes on forever. I did 30 Day shred and now going back to Turbo Jam because I ****ing HAATE HATE Jillian Michaels workouts cause they bore me to death; I know I got a great 20 minutes workout, but I rather do 90mins than 20 mins of hers.
I suggest do P90X, or if you do purchase Jillian's workout's than up with weights and do it back to back with another of her's workout if it's too easy for you.0 -
That's what I need to know. Thank you so much!0
