    I would say yes, flirting is allowed - particularly in Chit-chat, fun, and games. Of course, I don't know for sure (not an admin, don't have internal knowledge), but I think it's pretty clear what Mike and his staff are trying to do.

    It's not the flirting that is a problem, it is the overly suggestive, highly sexualized flirting that is a problem. Basically, keep it relatively clean, and there won't be a problem.

    Likewise, it's not the joking or teasing or even the debating that is a problem, it's the personal ridicule, thread derailing or angry attacks that are a problem.

    General guidelines that seem to be evolving (to me, at least) are: everyone should feel safe/not attacked and content should be such that would be OK in a professional setting (ie: not get someone in trouble at work).

    That is my interpretation/oversimplification based on numerous posts by Mike, Steven and moderators.
