I know 1200 is the figure most agree is the minimum amount of daily calories a women should consume, but what about us men? I seem to recall it is 1800? why then does MFP give me a daily allowance under this figure when i'm trying to lose yet won't go under 1200 for anyone whatever the circumstances?

I sometimes see 1500, but mainly 1800 as the minimum. You could post something to the feed that goes to them to ask them why they allow it. Maybe they are going by the 1500.0

have heqrd both 1500 and 1600. 1800 may be a minium for a man 6 foot plus, but for myself that is just shade below my maintenance.
So go wint 1500 net as the minimum.0
