Long term success?

This is a question for those of you that have had long term success. What did you do to get you over the humps when your motivation started to slip or you recognized bad habits creeping back in?
I have noticed lately that some of my poor eating habits that led me to be overweight have started to show themselves again. This terrifies me and I am struggling to take control before anything bad happens. How did you handle this? It seems to me that when I had initial success it was due to a change in the way I viewed food and I became very aware of everything I was putting in my body. I don't know if the fact that I do so much exercise now has led me to become complacent with my eating habits. I have not gained any weight because I am running quite a bit, but I haven't lost any weight tor a while either.
I know there are alot of you out there that have had tremendous success and I have to believe you hit a speed bump or two along the way. Can you share with me how you regained your focus? Thank you.
