Hey guys,
I just had something to get off of my chest. Yesterday one of my friends told me that a guy I was supposed to meet said I was bigger than he thought so he wasnt interested in me. The thing is that I really didn't care because he wasn't attractive to me. But the entire thing was that I didn't understand why she felt like she had to tell me. Mind you she is ten sizes bigger than me so I cunk it up to being a hater.
Anyway it was at that moment I realized how I had hrown because the old me would have cried and been upset but because I know that I have made serious progress, no matter what the scale ir others think, I have more confidence to know I can do better. I have started a love affair with the most important person, me. Stay bleesed!

I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot... and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why... I succeed.

sounds like 2 people you need to get rid of (as far as friendships go)! NO ONE should ever say something like that.0
-
There will always be haters and snarky people who are jealous. You're worth more than that and I'm glad you have a positive attitude! Way to go!!0
-
Congratulations! That is a great NSV.
Never have understood why people say the things they do, jealousy, being thoughtless and inconsiderate. Sometimes you have to fire your friends!!0 -
douche bags, plain and simple. Call you friend up on it and move on from that guy. The other day my friend got spat at by a guy in a car and him and his mate shouted at for being too fat. Some people are just not worth the dirt they crawled from.0
-
Yep, sounds like she's just trying to make herself feel better by putting you down. Doesn't sound like a healthy relationship!0
-
you are 100% right, totally a HATER!!! go get it girl!!! congrats on your progress and positive attitude!0
-
You're right, she's a hater! and if all he cares about is appearance, then he's someone you don't need as well
Good attitude- good job realizing you don't need to care abt what these people think0 -
That is really a terrible thing to say to someone.0
-
Forget both of them! You are probably better off without both of them in your live! Stay positive! Good luck on your journey!0

First of all, ((((hugs)). Congrats to you on your progression as well as your growth. I started my journey out with a "love affair" as well so I know what u mean. Us as women learning to love ourselves and compliment ourselves is step one before we could ever love and value anyone else. We have to love ourselves. Sometimes ppl r so jealouse-hearted that they will shoot you down so that your confidence is just as low as theirs. But I'm so happy that you have a sense of self and you know that your worth isn't what others think but what you think.

You go girl! If the truth were known, bet your so called friend was disappointed that you didn't cry and get all upset. Good for you! Wait until you knock off another 10 pounds. I bet she tries it again so be ready to disappoint her again! Sounds like sour grapes to me.0

It sounds like you have grown. WTG. Maybe she knows you are tyring to change and wanted to upset you, to try to get back to your old ways. You are stronger than that and you have come to the right place. We all care about you and want you to succeed. The sweetest form of revenge is success and I have a feeling you will have much of it.
Best wishes.0 -
I had a guy tell me that once. I was a young teenager, too. I think that might be where my terror of gaining weight came from.
Love your attitude :-)0 -
Congrats to you! My mom always told me how fat I was and how disappointed she was. Decades later one of my daughters was looking at a photo album of me as a child and said " mom, you weren't fat". I realized that I weighed between 130 and 140 all through high school and wore a size 10-12. Not tiny but the reality didn't match the image someone had planted in my head! Oh, how our brains can sabotage us! You are on the track to good health, and the body you want by getting rid of negative talk! Good for you and good luck!!0

Soundlike she is jealous of the progress you have made, your drive and motivation.... You are so much better than her, and he sounds like a tool, so you are better off without him.0
-
I agree...your friend is most likely jealous and/or insecure. Saying things like that to you is a sad attempt to feel better about herself. As far as the guy, if he really did say that about you, he's lame...maybe not secure enough to be with a woman who isn't smaller than him. Sucks to be him!
Also...congrats on your successes! I just joined a couple days ago and I love seeing other people sharing how they are growing as people. You're an inspiration!0 -
You don't need friends like that! I used to be friends with someone that if we went shopping she'd ask what size I was getting something in and be like o ok and get it a size smaller. Friends are supposed to be supportive and not compete with eachother. You don't need that in your life.0

Tank you guys so much. Y'all are great!! I am so glad I found tis website!!0

you're losing the weight and you're doing it for YOU...no1 else matters! Let em hate on!:flowerforyou:0

I had lost 30 lbs and not one of my "friends" commented..... until one and only one (who is naturally very small) said how great I was looking. Most women are terrible, they don't compliment b/c it just MIGHT make you feel good. I think it's time we remove ourselves from these relationships and work forming better relationships. Idk....rambling a little but I completely understand what your saying. The "sexy" comes completely from within, when your confident, it shows and it's SEXY!!0

1st I'd like to say congrats to you for not letting what your friend said to you get you down, & I want to thank you because your story just lifted my spirits, I've been in this downward spiral for the last few weeks, basically because of the same thing
So cheers to you :flowerforyou:0 -
It doesn't matter why she told you. It matters that you are confident enough in yourself and what you are doing that you didn't let it get to you. Keep working your plan for yourself.0
-
You have the courage to do what most cannot stay focused and leep dropping the pounds one at a time...0
-
((((HUGS))))) Not sure why your "friend" said that, but MAYBE ( and this is a strong maybe) she thought she would make him look like an jerk and in a terrible way try to tell you that you were TOO GOOD for him? Like I said maybe she ment it that way, but it was not one of her best comments to you. SO since the stronger you didn't cry and get upset... maybe you could take this time and address your friend on the way she made you feel. Stand up for yourself and tell her that it hurt your feelings. Just a suggestion.....Good luck!0
