30ds and men

I have read and seen pics of great successes from Julian Michaels 30ds from many of the ladies on MFP.
What I haven't seen is many (or any) men that have tried it.
I figure what is good for the goose is good for the gander and just got the DVD today so I can give it a try.
Meantime, I would love hear from any guys out there (or ladies with husbands or significant others) who have done 30ds and hear but kind of results they got.

I would definitely think it would work for both males and females! I wanted my hubby to start it with me but he wouldn't. No idea why, it would kick his *kitten*, though maybe there in lies the reason!! Gets your heart rate up, includes weights and resistance training, cardio,.... Good luck!0

if it is true that men lose easier then women then you should kick azz at this dvd and have amazing results..... cant wait to see the pics of your results0

I did it, and thought it was pretty effective. My wife said I look really toned after it (I also lost 8 pounds).
The only thing was it was pretty embarrassing when Jillian talks about working out in order to fit into your bathing suit :mad:0 -
my husband tried it with me and he couldn't finish.. )0

Thanks for the comments.
Plan on giving 30ds my first try Sunday morning.0 -
I have done two days so far on Level one.... good work out.
Looking forward to seeing what a month brings.0 -

I was just thinking of starting a thread on this myself. I started doing it and just finished level 1 and now I am on day 6 of level 2.0

Yes, but the comment is totally out of a "Cathy" cartoon, lol. I couldn't see Bob Harper telling some massive 400 pounder he needs to worry about how he'll look in his bathing suit :laugh:0 -

Level 2 is alot harder...lol
By the end of level 1i was keeping up, however when I started level 2, I felt like a beginner again. Right now it's gotten better...so there is hope for us!0 -

I remember someone on here talking about how her husband called it her girly dvds or something. After he tried it he no longer did. ha0

My fiance has worked out with me twice. Although I'm only now on Day 10 of level 1. He couldn't do it last night because he was too sore from doing it two days in a row. I really hope he continues though because it's a good workout.0

Sooo....an update on level 3. Kicked my butt up and around and back again...lol
When I made the transition to level 2, I used the first 2 days to get used to the workout so I decided to do the same for level 3. I just completed 2 days but will start counting from Tuesday as Day 1 (I skip mondays because of a fast I do for religious reasons)
Who knew jump squats would be such a killer on your quads! Planks are okay but those one handed maneuvers are a killer.0 -

Yes, I think that is exactly what her husband thought as well.0 -
3 more days left...
After this I am on to weightlifting to build more muscle.
The 30 day shred made me realize I was weak all over...lol0 -
and i am finished!
30 day Shred is done
I lost about 10 lbs and a few inches here and there (no exact measurements) Pants fit a lot looser and I really increased my upper body strength (push ups) and my general core which I never worked out before.0 -
