Where do you carry water on a long run?

I am not running that far yet, but I see visions of myself running for miles.....however, I haven't figured out where you are supposed to carry water. For the long distance runners...what do you do?

I didn't start carrying water until I got to the 8 mile range, and after carrying a regular water bottle in my hand I decided I needed something better. I bought a 16 oz. BCG bottle with hand pouch/grip for about $8 from Academy. I keep my large FinishSafe ID the zippered pouch and my cell phone while I'm out running. I'm still shopping around for a fuel belt which will probably be a bit more convenient over time.0

I have a water belt that holds 4 10oz bottles. If it's hot and I'm out for a run longer than 8 miles I fill all 4 - 2 with water and 2 with Powerade. If it's not quite as hot or I'm going a shorter distance, I might only carry two bottles.0

Hydration belt, looks a little bulky, but could work: http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_34576_-1?N=6199606350
