I'm worse about it on the weekends, but I tend to take all three of my meals to work and eat dinner before leaving (5-6, depending on my arrival time). Then, the most I'll have is a quarter cup of pepitas or 10 almonds, or something. I find that I can start freeing weight by just making a rule that I don't eat my dinners so late. This isn't a problem for everyone, but for me, late eating tends to be a weight factor.

My kitchen is open 24/7/365, whenever I am hungry. I divided my diary into time periods so I'm aware of when I eat and can make good choices, but I don't have any "no-no" times.

This, exactly. I can't sleep if I'm hungry -- plus, if I go hungry for any period of time, then I overeat later. Since there is no research that convinces me going to bed hungry will help me lose weight or have increased overall health, there's no motivation for me to deprive myself. I watch my calories, but eat whenever I'm hungry.

    It doesn't close.
I eat when I'm hungry, simple as. I'd NEVER not eat when my body wants to, body knows best.
Also, if I'm treating myself that evening, I might have a cookie or two about an hour before bed :blushing:

Same as most people here...never closes.

If i do, my dog can't get to his water bowl :(

But yeah, sometimes i really dont want to eat in the daytime, so i have a 1k cal dinner and some snacks an hour before bed. Just make sure i'm still hitting my targets though :)

When I am out of calories since it makes no difference eating late at night or not as long as you don't go over your calories.

I do this too. My diary has time slots, not "meals"

    I don't eat a meal after 5pm...unless its a special occasion someone's birthday and a meal out.

Usually just have a snack somewhere around 7-8pm. If I wake up really early hungry I'll get up to get something, but if not its between 7-9am depending when I wake up.

If I go to bed with a full stomach I have a lot of trouble sleeping so 8 is usually a good cutoff time for me.

I got to bed anywhere between 11 and 1, and if I eat after 8 I either have nightmares or wake up several times in the night. I also can't eat a really heavy meal - goodbye, Olive Garden for dinner *waves sadly*

I generally consider the kitchen closed after I finish logging for the day - after my workout, after dinner and I hit the "finish logging" button or whatever it's actually called. I *can*, of course, eat afterwards - nothing's off limits - but I generally choose not to.

I don't. I eat a late dinner because of my schedule so snacking after dinner is not a problem for me.

We usually have dinner at around 5.30 so we can all eat together. Works for us as neither me or my husband like eating late and unless I am really hungry I rarely eat after this. Makes me feel ill if I eat late so its not a diet thing just what suits me! My hungry time is usually about 3pm!!!
