Hey guys, I am still figuring out my dieting and such, I've noticed recently that some days after I eat I've gotten super tired!

The other day, I had chicken noodle soup... I got super sleepy!

Today, it happened again from my chicken wrap. I made it myself, the only real carbs are in the wrap...

Ideas? Advice?

Tamara

Interesting, do you have any allergies?

Poultry has triptophan in it right? Maybe your body is becoming more sensitive and the combo of carb and triptophan is knocking u out. Add more fresh fruits and veggies and maybe go meatless for a day or two. Also, u may wanna check your B vitamins out and see if you're getting enough.

There's also carbs in the noodles. So it could be that.

It may not be a matter of what you ARE eating, but what you're not. You may be coming up deficient in some area and running out of steam at the end of the day. I can't see your diary, so I don't know. But using the nutritional reports may reveal something to you.

No allergies to anything except I suspect alcohol, but none of that either of the suspect days :D

Is my diary not public? I tried to make it that way...
  • I am always tired and always have been. I joined weight watchers a couple of years ago and within two weeks had more energy than I knew what to do with. The reason for the new energy was the foods that I was eating. I don't know how to eat right. I wasn't raised with any type of cooking at home. On weight watchers I started looking for foods with higher fiber in them. The choices I made in my foods made a huge difference in my energy level. I give credit to the fiber. But Iron helps too. I have mood swings and am grouchy without extra Iron in my diet. (I take iron pills). Also B12 is great for energy. A good idea is to see your doc and let him know you're tired. He'll run some blood work on you and that'll show if you're anemic and need some vitamin supplements.
