breakfast before bootcamp

I am starting a boot camp this week, and the instructor said I should be eating "a small meal of 40% protein and 40% low glycemic carbs at least 45 minutes before camp is best." His suggestion was "4-6 egg whites and ¼ cup quinoa." That sounds like a lot of egg whites to me! Any other suggestions???
