In the last 5 years my weight went up to 215 lbs for the first time in my life. I had never even been over 200 pounds.
I was athletic until about age 16. Starting around age 25 I became pretty sedintary.
I did not officially weigh myself and start tracking my weight loss until September 1st but I had already begun to shed the pounds.
On September 1st I weighed in at basically199-200 pounds.
Today I got on the scale and it read 190. I have lost a few inches off my waist and am fitting into pants and shorts I have not worn in almost 4 years. I feel great and MFP is helping me keep track of my exercise and food.
Just wanted to say hello to the community and say that it is working so far!
I do cycling, walking, jogging, hiking, and have begun volunteering in order to be a bit more active throughout the week.
Sometimes it kicks my *kitten* and sometimes it doesn't but here it is...
got 20 more pounds to go to reach my goal, which means about 10 weeks. And then its maintenance and a life of healthy slim fun.
I know this could have gone in the success story thing but I don't feel I am nearly the success I want to be yet.
So this is my hello and thanks for all the tips I have gotten on this website.
