Hmonsterx, if you take the time to read it you will see that what the author said to do is drink two 8 oz glasses of water before each meal. This helps digestion and makes you full so you dont eat as much. You can go against science and logic but you will see that much more happens once you accept facts.

Well, for me is doesn't make me full. I really can't understand that.

When i eat, it makes me thirsty.

When i drink, it makes me hungry.

My body wants the opposite of what I've just had. As for drinking water, that was the part I object to. Saying you should drink half your bodyweight in lbs is excessive for most people. If that said fluid, not water, then ok. But once again it's making people think they have to actually drink water, when they don't.

    And go against science?

Well, my body wants me to drink 1/2 my body weight in water. When I do - I feel better, my skin looks and feels better, etc.

I think it is a disservice to people to go running around telling them NOT to drink water. If YOU don't need that much water, that's great. But, I don't agree with telling other people how much water THEY might need.

*I* dont tell anyone. Tons of people on here tell people they need at least 8 cups of water a day, which for the average person isn't true. It really makes me /facepalm when i see a new member who is pretty new to this being told by people they needs to drink 4364564376 oz of water, like it's some kind of wonder and vital weight loss tool, when they are more than likely already getting all the fluid they need.

I'm not expert on anything but my own body and I have a really hard time getting down my water so I wish I believed you. However, everything functions better the more water I drink. I feel better, my digestive system seems to work better, I don't get constipated, my skin looks better, and I also have better weight loss at my weekly weigh-in on the weeks that I have more water intake.

Your signature is telling people they don't need to drink 8 glasses of water a day. So, yes.. you ARE telling them they don't need it.

Keep in mind any caffeinated beverage (tea or coffee mostly since they are made with water) is also a diuretic, so the water you're getting in them is kinda being counteracted by the caffeine.

Yeah and I just realized the other outer wall has the Hostess and Little Debbie's stuff! and the front of the store has the bakery! and the back has the steaks! I'm not joking either.

    MYTH

Unless you're drinking 3-4 double esspressos the diuretic effect of a cup of coffee and tea is not much more than water.

10 habits that make you fat
Sorry... the only thing (medical conditions aside) that makes you fat is over-eating

Understanding that and working out why you over-eat is a HUGE step in gaing control and working towards loing weight and maintaining that weight loss.

There's some good tips here, but it's the pseudo-science behind some of them that perpetuates myths and inaccuracies.

Oh and the Supermarket thing... we don't all live in the USA... some other countries supermarkets are actually laid out in a completely different way.
