Hay all, reposting again, Newbie here really could do with some help, some friends and tips on best ways of using the site and also stuck on sorting out my ticker.

  • best way for me to use the site is for tracking my foods and exercise. i use it mainly on my phone and just added the ticker today...so im not too sure what you want out of the site?! you dont NEED a ticker, but if you want to use it, copy and paste the code into your signature on the community page, and then it will attach itself there...use the code on the left tho.

    best feature is the reading of tags on your phone - I love the app better than the site. Be careful about the food info, it's not always accurate (since often the input is done by users) I tend to double check all generic things via http://www.calorieking.com/foods/ and http://caloriecount.about.com/ and make sure you're entering the proper amount/size/ounce/portion/serving that you're eating.

  • Thanks for the info about the ticker couldn't figure out to put that in. One thing I was doing when I stared was just paying attention to calorie intake, I realize in looking back, I was under my calorie intake but I was consuming "empty" calories. Now I pay equal attention to carb, fat, sugar etc. Now I make better choices.
