  • Click on the food tab, then you see where you can add food. Just put everything thats in you recipe in there and it will calculate it all or you. Hope this helps

You can add your recipe to your diary, or just put in another item that looks really comparable. Also, feel free to add me as a friend, supporter and motivator if you would like. Good luck to you.

    Hello and good luck.
I put in homemade mac and cheese and then choose the closest to iwhat you ate or you can list each ingredient separately. You will really enjoy this plan as it saves everything you add to the food diary until you delete it later.
You can set it up to track carbs, protein, fat and your water intake is tracked also. There is a tab to track your exercise also.
Add me as your friend if you want and I will do what I can to help you.
It is easy and I really enjoy this site.

Under the food tab select "recipes." On the right hand side of the screen you'll see a button called "enter a new recipe." Build up the recipe using ingredients the database (or by adding information from other sources) and the system will compute per serving nutrition information. Once you have a recipe saved, it'll always be there under your recipes and you can select it for your diary.

Go to foods up top and then hit the tab that says recipes and on right hand side it will say something like enter ne, click that and enter all the ingredients, amount of servings and the name, you will be good to go :)
  • You can go under the food tab and add your recipe into your diary. It's easy! I do it all the time. Add me as a friend if you like. We can all use more motivation.

  • Sometimes it'll take a little more work but if its a dish you know you'll be making again, I suggest looking up individual items and putting them all together for the carbs/calories/fat and create it in the database (and share if you like) so that you can use it again without having to look up things individually.

I have been using myfitnesspal for the past 45 or more days now and love it! I used to have an excel sheet set up and I would have to look up items separately all the time and it was getting tedious.

Good luck on whatever plan you're following! I'm on a calorie-based plan. :)
