Pins and Needles feeling in thumb after workout

I just finished with about an hour long workout. One of the exercises I did today was overhead squats which I've never done before. The form was awkward for me and I think I did something wrong because when I finished the first set, the outer half of my right thumb felt strange, that pins and needles feeling like after your foot is asleep. I shook my hand and arm out, thinking I'd lost a bit of circulation, but now it's almost an hour after it started and it still feels this way. There was no pain during any of my exercises, and the area isn't discolored at all, just pins and needly feeling.
Any idea as to what caused this?

My advice to you is to consult a doctor.0

if you are getting pins and needles in your hand, then the source is most likely your elbow. Check to see if it hurts there.
If it continues, see a sports therapist/chiro.0 -

Nope, no pain in my elbow, no pain in shoulders (Other than soreness from last workout, but I can tell the difference)0
