Upcoming conference....trouble?

I have a week long conference coming up in Florida. I am worried about ruining my diet while on this trip. I have the plane flight there and back and the conference serves lunch everday plus we plan on going out most nights. I am bringing my oatmeal with me for breakfast and granola bars for snacks. I plan on trying to eat mostly salads and soups when we go out and keep water with me all the time, since I am always thirsty and that will help keep me from drinking pop or other beverages. Anybody have any other tips. I will have to go long periods of time without eating so I dont want to go crazy when I do eat.
Thanks in advance

When I go out to restaurants to eat, I ask for a box when they bring the food. Then I take 1/2 of the food off my plate and put it in the box. This way I dont eat the whole thing and if im hungry later, I can snack! If I cant see it, I dont want to eat it!
Sounds like you are on the right track by keeping snacks handy. Maybe research the places you will be eating at or going to and see what food they have and find out the nutritional info on things you might like to eat. Then you will have an idea of what you SHOULD get when you are there instead of just picking something off the menu.
Have a good time in FL... hope its not too icky!

Will you have a rental car? If so, try to make a stop at a local grocery store before heading to your hotel and grab some fruits (apples, bananas, etc). Any chance you'll have a fridge in your room? If so, you can get veggies, too, but if not, just do the best you can - sounds like you're on the right track!0
