Almond milk and calcium

Sorry, just tired of the misinformation being thrown around. Please note that almond milk is NOT a good source of calcium unless the calcium is ADDED. Organic unsupplemented almond milk only has 2% of your daily requirements (v. milk at 30%). That is all. As you were.

I use almond milk all the time but brought up the issue of calcium, vitamin D, dairy products, etc... to my trainer and she told me if I wanted calcium to eat spinach...1 cup supposedly has more calcium in it than a cup of milk does.0 -
I LOVE almond milk!!! I also like regular milk, but I think that for some people that are lactose intolerant or just don't want to drink cow's milk, then soy or almond milk is a great alternative because you can get calcium from so many other foods.0

I like adding almond milk to my protein shakes- it makes them more creamier- if I want to save on calories I do 1/2 water and 1/2 almond milk.0

I make one that is 4 oz almond milk, 4 oz Tazo chai tea, and 1 scoop vanilla protein powder - tastes like a vanilla chai tea latte!0 -
That's great guys! I'm not anti-almond milk or a cow's milk fanatic. Just wanted to clear up a misconception is all0
