I understand where you're coming from. I have always logged that if I haven't gone to bed yet, it still counts for the day, and it doesn't matter what time. In the summers I go to bed at 6AM, but wake up at 2pm. I log everything I eat between that time as one day regardless of where midnight falls.0

To me a "day" is from when you get up until when you go to sleep.0

It doesn't really matter too much. I work nights. I log all foods and exercise from breakfast to breakfast. I work nights but I still eat breakfast in the morning when I get off work.
Maybe try it one way for a week and try it a different way the next week to see which one works best for you.
Good luck with whatever you decide.0 -
i stop logging food/exercise when i go to bed, whenever that may be- if i'm on a really bad sleep schedule, i'll start a new day at 6 am. everything evens out eventually0
