Can someone help me with something....

So my mom has joined MFP about 6 weeks ago or so...She has lost a total of 11 lbs (good)...

Here is the problem..she is complaining alot that she is only losing 1 lb. per week (which is normal)..and that this is such a slow process.

I can't get it in her head that she is slowing her weight loss down immensely as she is only eating around 1000-1100 calories on average per day...She thinks that eating less will yield bigger results (as many people do think when they first start out)...Can someone post some words of wisdom or some informative links that will debunk her theory? Maybe hearing it from you guys will make her listen... :)
