Losing Weight to Keep Blood Glucose/Sugar in Control

Hi everyone!
I'm Christy; I started myfitnesspal four (4) days ago with the intent of looking great for the holidays and keep my blood glucose/sugar in control. I am a type two (2) diabetic of 4 years. I live at home with my mom and brother Steven (my two best friends in the whole world!); my dad passed away 4 years ago from Cancer. :cry: I work part-time at Nestle Toll House Cafe/Haagen Dazs. These things don't tempt me as much as others since I'm diabetic. :wink: Anyway, I had started dieting just about a year and half ago (and I weighed in as heavy as 205 at one time :noway: )and since then have gotten within 50-55 pounds of my goal (of 120-125 pounds)! :bigsmile: I really like and need encouragement for my blood glucose/sugar AND weight lost because it's hard to stay motivated when most of your life you've been overweight or obese. So that's me in a nutshell and I'm sure you'll learn more about me as we travel together on this weight loss and better lifestyle journey together! :happy:
