You cannot make more than 5 friend requests every 10 minutes

I started to adding friends and got this massage: “You cannot make more than 5 friend requests every 10 minutes”. :grumble:
Does anyone know why?

    It's to prevent spam. We have people who try to advertise products by spamming tons of messages and friend requests, so we put limits in to discourage them.
