I've been using MFP for a few weeks on and off. I had a great app for my phone that I used for several years and it was very effective. When I used it. When I jumped on the 'Droid bandwagon, my <very expensive> app was not compatible. I've looked for almost a year for something I like and I've found it here. I love that I can log from my phone and from my computer. I suspect I may also like the support.

My goal is to lose the 50 pounds I gained after I quit smoking and to keep it off. I've set small goals and rewards along the way. My first is to lose 15 pounds by Christmas. I will be meeting my boyfriends family for the first time.

I have two hinderances. First is some work that was done on my ankle. Exercise on it has been banned for many months now. Second is my boyfriend. He's 53 and wears the same size he wore in high school. He eats once a day and it's a huge meal. He's never had to watch his weight so he doesn't understand the struggle. Yesterday, I got home from work and discovered a pie in my fridge!

Don't misunderstand. He is very supportive. Maybe I just need to tell him that - for now - he should buy things like that in single-serving portions.
