2 pounds tonight at weigh in, I think I will reward myself with a food reward tonight. I don't usually do this but I think tonight I will treat myself to an order of onion rings for supper tonight. I am sure I wont eat them all but will splurge and have some. I was so disciplined this week. Was my birthday and passed up a TON of stuff that I would have loved to eaten but didn't want to blow my weigh in tonight. Anyone else treating yourself to something special??

    Hi There,
My weigh in was this morning and i lost what i wanted, so doing the food diary for the day i added in my fav chocolate bar, it put me over by 43 cal, so decided it's not worth it yet!!
That's not to say that if next week goes well i may have the courage to eat one, just afraid that the old bad habits will creep back in.
But hey i bought a new handbag last week when i reached a stone (14lb)
  • I think that's a good idea so long as you keep it in check. I firmly believe that you shouldn't completely deny yourself the things you enjoy. If you avoid them altogether, there is a big risk you may just blow the diet one day. A little of what you enjoy, built into your allowance helps to avoid the big mistakes.

I've tried to unhook from food as a reward. That's not to say I haven't had things like onion rings, but I stopped thinking of it as a prize to be won but rather a food item I can have as long as it fits within my nutrient needs (or that I'm willing to work off).
  • I had a piece of my yougest daughter's birthday cake with ice cream over the weekend because I had lost 2 1/2 pds last week!!

I have been focusing on learning that food is not entertainment, emotional support, or reward. When I meet goals I treat myself wit a new item of clothing or a visit with a distant friend.
