I have PCOS and my doctor recommended I try a low carb diet as it alleviates the symptoms. I need some tips or advice on low carb eating.

How about checking out some gluten-free stuff (careful, some are still full of carbs) or looking at some of the weight watchers foods that are sold in stores.0

First, change your default settings on MFP to reflect this... the default carbs are crazy high, especially for someone with PCOS or diabetes. Basically, what you need is a diabetic friendly lifestyle -- which is actually pretty simple.
I have my settings at 45% protein, 25% carbs, 30%fat
Lots of lean meat (chicken, turkey, fish) fish, seafood (watch out if you're watching sodium)
Greek Yogurt (the good kind -- read the lable, if it i has equal sugar to protein, or more sugar than protein you don't want it!)
Nuts (walnuts, almonds)
Avocado (this is a great fat thats good for you too)
Quinoa, Millet, whole grains
There are tons of low carb recipes online -- if they say diabetic -- that means you

Weight watchers is far from low carb. Go to marksdailyapple.com or the atkins website. The new atkins book is great! It's not the 'eat all meat fried in butter' version of the past. I have been low-ish carb about a year and a half.0

I have PCOS too and I agree with MissMaryMac33, first off you NEED to change your diary settings to reflect the lower carb percent! I have mine set to 30%. It is hard sometimes to keep it under that goal since I LOVE carbs, but it is definitely possible. I eat a lot of ground turkey and chicken breast. I'm branching out to fish, not a huge fan but learning to like it. I personally have used a lot of recipes from the South Beach Diet phase 1 and phase 2.0
