LOL Thanks, Lyn. Things are just a little nutty right now so I'm laying low. The kids are getting cabin fever with this horrible weather we've been having so they've been CLINGY! Heaven forbid the boys play by themselves without beating the junk out of each other. Plus, I think I'm coming down with something. I haven't been this exhausted in a looooong time. Blah.
I haven't decided what workout to do today. I'm thinking cardio party. Decisions, decisions...0 -

Exhausted, huh-- hmmmmmmmm-- maybe you're pregnant? 4BabyBeans-- I like the sound of it.0 -
NOOOOOooooooooooooooooo!0
-
eh, you're already dirty-- what's one more. (do I sound like your hubby, or is he with you on this one?)
Once you can juggle three, the rest is all downhill.0 -
He's surgically with me on this one. LOL 3 is as many as our house can hold!..and my sanity would suffer.0
-
Well, that's about as "with" you as I can imagine he could possibly be-- LOL. Three was all my sanity could afford too--0
-
LOL Marla. You're doing good with your 9. I'd have a one way ticket to Mexico right now if I were you! :laugh:0
-
3 will be my golden number also. I don't know how my parents put up with 5 of us. Plus I really don't wanna have kids after 35 and that only leaves me 4 more years to have 1 kid, I don't think I wanna try to squeeze 2 in that time frame. Plus I've had to do a lot of convincing to get hubby to agree to one more, I can't imagine what it would take to get him on board for 2 :noway:
Going to work out now...not really feeling like it but gotta do it anyway....are my new Dvds here yet????0 -
Did CP2 and the shred today.
Is it considered a cool down if you are holding a 17 lb baby while doing it????0 -
OK, I found out how Sara records her TJ sessions. How do the rest of you log yours? I cannot wait for my package to arrive0
-
Completed my second Learn & Burn workout... Tomorrow is my fist 20min workout and I am aprehensive to say the least!!
17lbs OMG !! :laugh:0 -
Package still hasn't arrived yet ! Maybe today will be the day. Started bringing a pilates/yoga dvd to the office to get in an extra 20 min during lunch - that guarentees me 50 min / day not including what ever I do when I get home from work. Prefer am exercise gets the blood flowing and I've met my goal for the day - the rest is the cherry on top. Feel better too.
So excited about theses DVDs and I cant wait to join the rest of you all .
Does everybody use the "sculpting gloves?)0 -
I use the sculpting gloves & love them!
I got in Turbo Sculpt today & the warm up to Fat Blaster twice. :grumble: The kids are out to get me & I think the water line to the toilet is frozen. Yay.
I need a drink...0 -
Lucy-- 'splain these gloves. Are they weighted? They sound interesting--
I'm taking a brief respite from taebo/turbo to do some running. I ran last night-- it was 13 degrees, but it was so quiet and beautiful-- clears my mind, really tests my will. Nobody over me encouraging me, but me-- it is lovely. I did a 2 mile route and was able to run the entire uphill part, but threw some walking in, too-- I'm hoping, also, by mixing up my exercise I'll get the metabolism going again.
Today I visited the office where my weight loss journey began in June. I was sitting in the doctor's office last summer waiting to have my eldest son's wrist xrayed when I saw a woman from Ohio on the Joy Fit club, on the Today show, who'd lost 150 pounds-- that inspired me to get off my *kitten*, and take control of this area of my life once and for all, and I set the goal to lose 50 by my 45th birthday in June '09. Visiting it again today, waiting for another xray for another wrist for another son was a reminder-- keep it going, Marla, 20 pounds to goal-- 5 more months-- you can do this.
Wrist is only sprained on son-- which is very good news. But, now Josh,, 2, is puking which isn't such good news. They've been passing a diarrhea bug around, and his bumped up a notch. I sent my elves around the house today armed with cans of Lysol. I figured if he'd gotten over the diarrhea, and two days later starts puking, there must be some bacteria layin' around-- probably wouldn't hurt to actually "CLEAN the house, but time must be had for that--
Heading to type my afternoon shift-- later.0 -
The gloves are weighted, 0.75lbs each. They're fantastic. I can't do my workout without them b/c I look like a fool waving my hands all over the place. LOL
I hope that the extra running, less kicking/punching helps the p-word, Marla!
Good luck getting all those little buggers healthy! TG it was only a sprain! What kid was that for?0 -
Did 20 minute workout burned 147 cals and did 30 day shred burned 192 cals.0

13yo boy-- basketball practice on Monday, tripped over his shoelaces-- :noway: whaddyagonnado? Ya teach 'em and teach 'em and teach 'em-- :grumble:0 -
YAY ME!! :noway:
I completed the full 20min workout dvd - sweated loads and was quite breathless after it and then I tried to fit in 5mins of the learn and burn before I needed to stop!!
I know its only my third day at it but my fiance noticed a difference in my stomach this morning!! (He said it was starting to go in now!) I was delighted!
I have also noticed that I am more alert for longer periods of time throughout the day and I have also more energy.. It also might be because I have cleaned my diet up a good bit but I am loving the results!!
I can very easily understand now why this is soooooo addictive!
So another questions for you!! I have looked back on previous TJ threads but cannot see the answer. What do you log your workout as? Currenly I am logging it as high impact aerobic but should I be logging it as kickboxing?0 -
Okay, deedun. Kelly just asked the same question so I went to research. I've always just logged it as aerobics, general or aerobics, high impact depending on how I felt doing it. I'm pretty sure Lyn used to log it as kick boxing before she got her HRM. I went in & put in (for PK&J) 50 min. Here are my results:
Aerobics, general 50 - 380
Judo, karate, kick boxing, tae kwan do 50 - 584
Tha'ts a TWO HUNDRED calorie difference! :noway: Yowzers! I did it for the 20 min. workout, too & there's an 80 calorie difference for me. *sigh* I'm not sure what to tell either of you now! I do know that I'm shopping for a HRM now, though! I'm to the point in my weight loss where I really have to watch calories in & calories out b/c it is getting more difficult these last 10 pounds...go figure. :grumble:0 -
Thanks for checking that out!
I might just keep it as high impact aerobics as its lower in cals than kickboxing.0 -
Thanks for checking Sara! I'm thinking any b-day $$$ I get will be put towards a HRM0
-
Whose bday? When? I love birthdays...other peoples not my own. Did you have a bday or is it coming??
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
wow that was a random dose of excitement :laugh:0 -
Okay here's a little break down....this is based on 184 lbs.
Kick boxing 40 minutes (database) 556
Aerobics high 40 minutes (database) 389
Cardio Party 2 40 minutes (HRM) 520
Cardio Party 1 40 minutes (HRM) 500
For me Kick boxing was actually a closer estimate.
I don't have the weighted gloves. Kinda wish I did but maybe in the future when I need that added effort in a workout.
Deedun-I'm so glad you are liking the workouts and you are feeling results already. Food changes will make you feel better within 3 days, they will also have an effect on your body.
Gotta get my workout in. Hope everyone has a great day!0 -
Hi Everybody,
Checking in from Texas. My DVDs still have NOT arrived!!! Hope springs eternal , maybe today will be the day. Got up and did 53 minutes of cardio (FIRM) I really do like 4 of the 5 instructors on this set - This is one that going to be with me for a loooong time. I I want to start with TJ to keep tricking my body - so it has no idea what to expect when I put my sneaks on...
I am not trying to obsess with the scale so today is my weekly weigh in day - only lost1/2 lb:grumble:
Seems like the more I lose (and the older I get the more stubborn this weight is....)
I hope you all have a fantastic Saturday, take some time for yourselves and move! Please enjoy your families and tell them you love them

Dragonfly I hope your dvds come soon. I'm waiting in new ones and I actually have to force myself NOT to think about it or I will go crazy with anticipation!0

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
wow that was a random dose of excitement
I've got a little bit of time...b-day coming up in March! The BIG 3-0!!!!:huh:0 -
I GOT MY NEW DVDS!!!!! I was so freakin excited to see them especially since I hadn't done my workout yet! So of course I opened them up, did a little happy dance, and put PK&J in the dvd player....Well isn't that a new and interesting workout. Definately gonna take a few times before I have the flow of that one down. Chaleen is so much more motivational in this one. Sara I understand why you love it so much. Its different, its more dancy then the first ones that came out. I love the capoiera stuff at the end. I didn't feel like I didn't much during the workout cuz I spent so much time trying to get the hang of it but according to my HRM I burned 490 calories. I'm pretty sure once I get the hang of it I will burn more.
Parents are here so I gotta run.....hope you all did a little jammin today!0 -
I have the PJ&K one too but havent had a chance to look at it yet!
I am working off the schedule that came with the max pack and I am loving it! I couldnt do my workout today though as my stomach is really sore - not from working out but the illness type (severely bloated)!
I went on a brisk 20min walk instead and i'm using today as a rest day and will do it tomorrow instead!!
I had a sneak peak of the Cardio Party1 and it looks a lot easier (moves wise) than the 20min workout... But it's a LOT longer!!
Keep up the good work everyone!0 -
Words of wisdom...work up to PK&J. It's a doozy. I LOVE it, but it is nearly 50 min. long so make sure you can do CP1 first before you move onto PK&J. Just stamina wise.
Just wanted to pop in really quick! YAY for new dvds, Lyn! WOO WOO! Don't ya love it! PK&J is probably my fav. I need a break from it every now & then (the second set with the punches front & back with squats makes me cry sometimes...) but it is FUN!0 -

Marla - hope your bunch is on the mend - 9... wow! I'm exhausted just typing that
I got on the scale yesterday and only lost 1/2 lb but today was down 1 pound more - not sure what's up with that but i'll take it. guess idn't do so good with the "i'm only checking the scale once a week" thing so starting over yet again with that one. I can be pretty obsessive and set myself up to fail. Did 40 min cardio party (FIRM) and I am soaking wet- it was good.
i more load of laundry and i'm done....for now.
Hope all have a good nite ~ see ya tomorrow.0
