No access to a scale for a whole week!

I am staying with a friend while travelling and have discovered she doesn't have a scale! I realize that I am a bit obsessive about weighing myself but I don't know how I can survive a whole week without weighing in. Especially when I am away from home so my food and exercise are different. So far I have stayed in my calorie limit but I feel like I need the scale to confirm I am doing ok...

Enjoy your break and don't stress about the scale. Weighing in each day seems to work for some people but for me it was counterproductive, it just made me more stressed.

I didn't even bring my food scale. Kinda scary but we will see how it all works out in a week. I have to travel every month so it'll be nice to figure out what works for me...

It's just a week. Weigh in before you leave and when you get back. Anything in between can just be considered fluctuations anyway.

use this opportunity to practice what you've learned. Someday you will be done "dieting" and will just be living in a healthy manner day-to-day to keep it up, right?
Use this week to practice good habits and make the right food choices in preparation for the rest of your life. You won't ALWAYS be weighing all your food, and weighing yourself daily....

This, average person weighs himself weekly. In between you can weigh yourself but their is going to be ups and downs. We want life style changes but we don't want to be obsessive to the point it causes our life quality to suffer. That is the whole point most people are trying to lose weight!

i hope you can get through this week without too much fretting over not having the scale. you are doing a GREAT JOB & i have total faith you can stick to your good eating habits. fwiw i went away on vacation and was pretty freaked for the first couple days that i didn't have my food scale & was eating out more than i would ever normally feel comfortable doing but still lost some weight. keep your exercise habits going & i'm positive you'll continue to lose :) the scale doesn't define your worth ((hugs))
