I have hit a plateau and am fluctuating in a 5 pound weight range no matter what I do. I am looking for advice or tips on what others have done to break a plateau and get my body in gear to lose again! I am working on the last 30 after losing over 200 pounds since 2003. HELP!!! I am getting very frustrated and really getting the "Give Up"! BAD!

I think you need to switch up what you are doing. What types of exercises are you doing? If you have been focusing strictly on cardio, I would focus more on strength training. Muscle burns fat. Have you changed your caloric intake? Give me a little information on what you have been doing and perhaps I can offer a little more advice. Best of luck and whatever you do....DO NOT GIVE UP! You should not let this last 30 pounds be detrimental to the huge success you have had thus far. You'll get through this!

I hit a plateau last year and I was able to break it and reach my goal weight by changing my diet - I replaced breakfast with a health shake - and found a new workout program with a higher intensity. It took 6 weeks to lose those last 10 lbs and I have kept it off!!! Take a look at your diet and also changing up your workout can both break that plateau!

I hit my plateau right after I started! Totally sucked...but I got a lot of great advice on here, and strange as it sounds, I increased my calories and so far I've lost 2 pounds since doing so!!! I don't know what your activities are, your profile is blocked. But if you are working out, maybe increase your calories. Just whatever you do, don't give up!!! (and believe me, I know it's hard!)
  • Hang in there Bestie ... you can do it!! You have to because you have to be there for me to ge thru mine! lol
